If they are all TRULY concerned about privacy it may have legs.
If they are simply catering to current vibe it will diminish quick in my opinion.
No companies had issues cashing those contracts prior and they are all eager to be a part of the committees to craft future policy.
Policies that will ultimately benefit their bottom line.
