That's just a cliché. I agreed the agency has serious problems, not the least of which is that BP has much too much sway with it, and is all tooo happy to see it understaffed, victim of it own too often bad regs, etc. But to deny its inherent value, and to think it can be replaced by the free market (another way of saying let the BP run it all) is just not a realistic argument, imo. So we disagree.
