I certainly hope the virus goes away but it certainly looks like leronlimab may be the SOC for sepsis, and future flu pandemics. Cytokyn storm comes with all that

The loosening of restrictions means it will still be around though at a lesser level.

Viruses don't just go away. Some ebb and bloom like the seasonal flu and keep coming year after year and mutate enough that the vaccines developed for them no longer prevent infection or spread. Leronlimab is not virus specific and and would be useful and effective even if the cytokine storm was caused by another immune overexpression.
If you are looking for a reason not it invest that is not it. Your concern would be valid as a reason not to invest in a vaccine candidate.
What is super interesting to me is the use of Leronlimab in other auto-immune disorders besides virus induced like HIV and Covid19/SARS/MERS flu induced ARDS. They are already testing in TN B Cancer and will expand to 22 solid cancer tumors in clinical trials. What could be next? What chronic conditions are caused by "out of whack" immune responses? MS, LUPUS, Psoriatic arthritis and others.
Covid19 just has shined a light on a very important and beneficial advancement of medicine. The possible value of Leronlimab to the future of medicine can simply not be overstated The RANTES/ Cytokine Storm connection if proven will be an extremely important proof of concept. Dr. Bruce Patterson will be known worldwide and Leronliab will be swiftly advanced into many research projects for many indications. All of these will be funded by others besides CytoDyn but CytoDyn along with the patients of the World will benefit.
