It’s % based, the actual PPS size doesn’t matter. Say I borrow 1 share at $1, I sell it. Then I buy it back at 50cents and return the shares. I take the 50 cent profit. Multiply that by whatever # of shares you want.

I personally short Naz stocks a lot. It’s easy, especially with the Covid panic. Or you can go long in inverse instruments that go opposite the Dow etc.

Day traders in pennies will “over trade” quite a bit. They’ll sell the news and then short the panic 3-4x a day. That’s not my thing... Plus avoiding the day trading rule with multiple accounts is too much hassle.
