Of course I have no direct knowledge of how these things work, but I would imagine the results of various routine blood tests are known to the doctors running things. They would almost have to be, as a routine part of normal treatment procedures, it seems to me. And if all of a sudden a large percentage of those patients are getting well, their viral loads are mysteriously dropping, the levels of rantes in their blood is fallong back into the normal range, etc., etc., then the doctors will surely be able to guess that the drug being studied is having the desired effect--even if everything is still blinded. This might very well explain the confidence and enthusiasm that all the CytoDyn players suddenly seem to be exhibiting. Anyway, that's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
