When I tried doing something similar with last minute orders in the past, my broker would send me a warning about stockmarket price manipulation. Not going to name what broker, but the title of the msg is like this:

"Possible Manipulative Trading in Your Account
We are bringing this up because an instance of manipulative trading may have occurred in your account(s). A pattern of marking the close was established in ____, where the trader on the account was the last trade of the day on each of the mentioned days. This practice could be viewed as potentially manipulative by market regulators."

So yea....when i said painting, i meant it. Was clearly manipulation because they were trying to force a certain closing price. AEXG had 25,000 showing and exactly 25,000 shares was bought to see if AEXG would be knocked of the ask, followed by another few orders slapping the ask including 200k.

All good though, we know some folks are fighting the good fight and trying to end dilution's effect on the price.
