I would say the nut has a much greater damping effect than the bridge does, certainly as far as bending a note - it's not more difficult at the 20th fret than the 10th. Interesting thought though.

A little bit, I can sort of operate a guitar well, but I need to work on the ability to apply the concept of music to one...
