Except we have zero idea what the nature of the delays were. Could be the company themselves had issues with the ERP implementation and GAAP conversion which would require the pulling of original documents from each entity involved.
All the while normal business processing would need to continue, so without additional staffing and throwing more and more money at the problem you run into delays.
