Oops. Looks like I got my wires crossed, I missed some updates in my notes, including the Final Rejection.

So it was non-final, final, appeal and allowance.

As far as how long an appeal usual takes, I don't know. They were going back and forth for 9 months since the non-final in Aug 2019, so maybe just came down to single technicality and one side finally gave in during the appeal. The appeal only took 3 weeks, so couldn't have been too complicated.
