I share your enthusiasm for Brilacidin for Covid 19. IMO we are 1 press release from funding,grants and licensees,partners before heading to human clinical trials.
That PR could come next week.

The acute cause of death for Covid 19 is the pulmonary failure; and rightly,that has been the focus of the governments efforts to develop treatment. It is becoming obvious the later complications...Cardiac, renal, CNS and now a Kawasaki like syndrome in peds are significant.
As many as 10% of Covid patients present with GI symptoms. I have not read these Covid 19 associated complications deeloping in the GIform of Covid 19.. If you have found any reports of associated complication I would like to review them.
Brilacidin was studied in healthy volunteers as an oral study primarily for its pharmacokinetics. It was found to be safe with no systemic absorbtion and surprisingly went through the acidic stomach and was passed unchanged and in at a therapeutic level. I apologize I can not find the reference. I looked for it a couple of hours yesterday.
I agree Brilacidin would be reasonable to study for COVID 19 GI infection.
