If the stock is reached the $5 value and maintained it for at least 30 days, then it can be up listed on the big board.

But how is it going to get there? A reverse split is the only way to guarantee it.

If I had a dime for every time somebody overestimated how much the share price would rise given a certain piece of good news, I could just buy the companies myself.

After up listed on NYSE the stock price would indubitably will surpass your evaluation by several fold.
