I don’t know for sure how it works exactly but I was told that law firms that specialize in securities cases must beware of the wording they use in their advertisements, according to the LANHAM ACT. So, any firm that’s seeking to sue a company must make sure they don’t put out any misleading information therefore, the firms seeking plaintiffs specify that they are seeking plaintiffs and for a purpose that’s not misleading in anyway. From what I’ve read from all of the law firms is, they are seeking plaintiffs to investigate and nothing else.
