Yes, you are definitely correct, especially for those playing weekly options. I guess I am in the minority here as I mostly post for macro/TA discussion, but actually very rarely trade SPY or SPY options.

Scaling in via DCA in leveraged ETFs, distressed equities, or OTC plays is more my game which is why I am okay with being early.

Fun story on that side, Bought AAPL 4/17 $290 puts in January for $10.00/contract..they got all the way down to $2.00 in lat February/early March. I averaged down and sold for a 10% gain after thinking I would be taking a big goose egg on them. Two weeks later, they hit $70.00/contract from that $2.00 range arghhhhh. That was my yearly reminder that options are not my game. GL to you this week

Can you please be more clear about what trend exactly are you referring to people front run?
