Like I said, let’s be sensible about it. This one is virulent and easy to catch. If you do catch it it’s nasty. How do I know this? I haven’t seen anything else but covid patients or rule outs since February.
Great article. My take is that public health should have been more active, but defined themselves out of the problem. I left school in Wisconsin for Chicago that year, and got a certified letter from Wisconsin saying I had been exposed to flu and should self quarantine. Illinois was informed but never got back to us. Now Wisconsin has almost no staff, been savaged under the term "austerity," still not sure why. Once they were national leaders in gov, now, not so much.
