Working as an RN in the cardiology field, I can tell you that cardiologists are not as worried about the same prolonged qt as RNs are trained to look out for. Depending on the circumstances, some are not worried until it hits 500ms.

But obviously the exclusion criteria is there to prevent any potential deaths related to it mucks up the data. Always start with the safer plan, and you can always measure qt in patients enrolled. From there, they may be able to extrapolate potential qt long action in those with family history or history of prolongation. Sorry if I’m coming in the middle of the conversation.
