Glenrie67 - . You are right , Gilead is a real company with real products and helping many patients ..
It is also true that many of their products do have severe side effects and some may not work so well...
I am very , very surprise what was a rush for Dr Fauci to recommend EUA
for Remdesivir for COVID -19 , before even full report is out .. Scientists and all are at lost now ..
And how often endpoint is change couple weeks before approval , to accommodate the only positive noticed in the study,
Why few days sooner to be discharge from the hospital became the only one criteria for approval... yes 11 days is better then 15, but is that the most important ?
--Why not mortality ,
--Why not viral load. I read in one of the paper that viral load in naso-pharyngeal tract was similar as in placebo. And this is antiviral drug..
--Why not to talk about side effects ,
--Why not to describe real severity of patients accepted , oxygen saturation of 94% do not show severely sick...
--Why not to talk what is happening with all those very sever changes in cytokine , chemokine , changes in baseline in CCR5 receptor occupancy level for T-reg and macrophages ,
changes in CD3 , CD4 , and CD8 ,Tcell count ,
Those are the reasons people die,..
And now what we know about Leronlimab ..
All proven by above tests ..
-- restore immune system.
-- quiet cytokine storm ,
-- decreasing plasma viral load , with statistical significance..
Not one serious side effect.
Severe sick patients discharged from the hospital not in 11 days but on average in 5.
--many on ventilators or ECMO at the beginning , and are discharged now .
--no death in severe sick ( the only death in our first 11 patients , the most critical , most with organ transplant , 10 on dialysis )
still 4 survived , and it is a miracle..
--and once a week SC injection , most patients need one and another one week later..
You must agree , Dr Fauci should be talking about Leronlimab and not Remdesivir at this stage...
But with whatever medicine , I just want medicine to be working on patients , because tomorrow , you , I , or anyone else may need treatment...
All IMO.
