I don't doubt that one bit.

I remember when they first started changing the drinking age to 21. DC was still only 18. I remember driving to Georgetown to go clubbing with my friends back then.

Many of my MD friends were involved in alcohol related driving deaths.

I was lucky. I remember this guy I use to like asked me to a school dance and I couldn't go because I was sick. I was so upset because he asked "Ann" to go instead. That night, their car crashed into a tree and everyone in the car was instantly killed. Ann was actually decapitated.

Then I had a good friend "Scott" that passed out(drunk) behind the wheel and drove off the Riva bridge.

Maryland is known for their many pubs and DC is of course the home of many affluent senators kids that party.

Oh and don't forget Ryan Oneal's son "Griffin" that had to go to court because his son was operating a speed boat in Annapolis (my home town) and tried to go under a line that held another boat to a pier and decapitated Francis Ford Coppola's son. Of course, he got off the hook with only community service (which he never served).

Yep, that's one reason I'm glad I moved from Annapolis when I had children. It may be a problem every where but it's more socially acceptable in that area.
