Something to add about institutional ownership for what it's worth. I am a member of an investment newsletter and one of the things they mention when looking at a stock of interest.
Institutional ownership over 30% is considered a possible negative but I don't think they meant by any means that this is a stop-flag, just one of many components to weigh with other charactoristics of the stock.
IO may be less of a problem for more experienced people, (myself not included), because they might have a better chance of recognizing a manipulitive play by an IO.
ie: slamming, etc.
