It would appear they need to sort out the parameters. I would have presumed a standards body would address this. In fact, as I recall MC2 and possibly the GSMA had established standards for Neom's technology. The question is whether this application applies to Neom! There is nothing in this article indicating or suggesting the application crosses both a resolution server and a gateway server. Regardless, my personal view (absent additional needed information) is they should leave the privacy options to the end users. This would be somewhat similar to how Neoreader allows consumers to choose whether or not to enter their demographics into the app.

All of the above is merely conjecture on my part.
