Yeah, that's why the push back on the very fact the company is selling stock has been surprising. Were I invested in the company and had a belief that success was possible, I'd want the offering of 600M shares to succeed so they'd raise the money in a cheaper fashion than they have been (toxic notes). Buying shares off of shareholders here does the company zero good, gives them no capital whatsoever.
