Judging by the response (actually, the lack of one) it doesn't appear that way to me.
I would have ignored him myself except he indicated that....
1. his CTIX/IPIX employment was Mar 2010-Present.
2. he had an intimate involvement in and knowledge of the development of Brilacidin:
•Identified novel immunomodulatory roles for Brilacidin leading to new indication of use for Brilacidin in inflammatory diseases currently completed phase 2( going for phase 3) clinical trial.
• Hypothesized that Phosphodiesterase is the target for mechanism of action for Host Defense Protein (HDP) mimetic Brilacidin, acting as anti-inflammatory agent. Hypothesis was tested by PDE4 inhibition assay as well as decrease in release of pro-inflammatory cytokines in monocytes, macrophages and animal model in response to Brilacidin was observed.
• Led the team in the development of Brilacidin, which has completed Phase 2 clinical studies for oral mucositis and ulcerative proctitis.
And since the Company is currently short one CMO this seemed particularly interesting:
"• Responsible for communicating company’s scientific vision and status updates to diverse audiences such as investors, PR and broader scientific community."
It just seemed odd, given all of that, that I had never heard of the guy. The stuff he says he has been involved with seems particularly relevant to the current situation.
