one thing i did take note of is that it seems like every nand supplier is part of the spec development. that's a good thing.

also the near term rocky thing wasn't really about the ability to build a product now. it's that the roadmap for nand in terms of features and compatiblity isn't clear. one thing that is interesting is that they use the x86 cpu to do a better wear leveling than is typically done today.

i fully expect this to happen in early '07.
