I second your emotion. It will definitely happen, and allow them to be a stand alone. We are just getting started here. very compelling story unfolding. If you just sense the atmosphere around them in their conversations, they have found something truly great in their studies and now are embarking on the path of technical necessity on their way to the final result. Like medchem, I am Just interested to see them win the chronic cough part, anything else will be a huge step up and, of course, a win for mankind. GLTA>

I think a buyout merger could be likely

If this drug works simply because biotechs cannot be happy about a company using an old drug when they are looking at making billions off of a new drug. The possibilities are endless.

I agree 100 percent. A Big Pharma will buyout and shelve another potential drug just to keep advancing their new molecule with a billion dollars already wrapped up in the research. However, shelving a potential treatment for COVID-19 would be immoral if not criminal IMO.
