Yeah. We haven’t been hit hard here in Alaska. I think we are doing pretty great at social distancing. Your thanks is appreciated. I saw that Mayo Clinic released an antibody year to see if you’ve already been infected, which would be great for me to know, because I almost feel I had it Christmas week. But back then, Alaska really wasn’t worried about it much, and certainly wasn’t as aggressive about testing and such. I wouldn’t have even thought to get tested back then. But if I was tested and found to have had it, I would leave here and go work in New York where my mom and her family live.
The impact on families is hard, I agree. Visitors can bring Covid in unwittingly, and if their dying family member is still infectious, they could carry it out with them too. It’s an especially emotional roller coaster for those most hit hard.
