Not sure where you came up with that probability factor. It's not like a coin toss where the failure/success percentage would be 50/50. I believe the probability is much higher than 50% that NNVC won't be successful.

NNVC hasn’t even managed to get a single candidate into Phase I, after spending 15 years and $100M. This further reduces their overall probability of success from 13% to 0% for this reason:
