Don't you think there is a reason there are only 12,000 deaths so far? Which of your children/grandchildren/parents would you swap for what will amount to a tiny blip on the economic radar? What dollar amount are you thinking a life is worth? Where is the point of equilibrium where a life is less important than your convenience or level or paranoia? What would have been the dollar cost if those numbers would have been 10 fold and climbing by now? What if all of this mitigation were possible when the plague or other historic pandemics were killing cities at a time? Maybe listen to the scientists instead of the talk show hosts.
In my opinion, it might be a good idea to change the channel.
