Hi sickzone. I don’t recall where you brought this up and others disagreed. About when was it? ... Per Jon at the ASM, that was always going to be the model when they got through the initial phase of production. That initial phase (he didn’t say how long it would last) was to control all aspects of production.
So, it sounds like they are shifting for at least some strand like Monster silk. Is that right?
Nice job sick!!! I was with you on that. I think there are legitimate security concerns, but it is the absolute best business model. Whether Lam Dong wants to or not, they are going to jump on the bandwagon. They will have to. No one is going to pay as much for production of silk as us. This is how capitalistic pressures work. I love seeing this and was excited to read it. Guaranteed production for us, and guaranteed higher payment, and guaranteed payment, for those doing our work. This is the quickest way to higher production. I hope they started already, but I have my doubts on that. "We will" likely means it isn't happening yet. I would love to hear when/if this gets piloted. I just did not see the building(s) as viable exclusively. This is a beautiful thing to read.
Maybe this will even cause people to move to Quang Nam. It is the kind of thing where families will pick up and move. It is possible this isn't the case, as Vietnam is very community oriented. We'll see.
The building will work for winter production, if they take care of the logistics.
