To me, at least, it looks like they’re still waiting until people are in dire straits and using filters only in conjunction with CRRT. This will undoubtedly skew optimal results/outcomes, especially with the typical pt already compromised by other comorbidities. There’d be a lot more successes if they put, for example, ARDS pts on both vents and CytoSorb at the same time, IMHO. Hopefully this week we’ll hear more about aggressive implementation of CytoSorb, for all involved.
