#287803 RE: kfcyahoo #287801

Kfcyahoo, I agree with you lots, we can only hope that state and local gov, hospitals, clinics, medical, hospital and nursing associations, insurers, etc. will lobby the universities and research institutes to begin conducting the larger scale sampling that will be required to get a good feel for the general populations, and the location of various hot spots. It would be good if CDC, Homeland, FEMA, ASPR, etc. would pressure the office of the POTUS to coordinate and/or start/fund such an effort. We need it sooner rather than later. We are seeing Goldman Sachs, McKinsie and some of the big boy financial and analytic companies begin to make predictions about the economy. Needless to say, a couple of million unemployed may appear in the next analysis, so quick action is so necessary. My hunch is that the quickest the US could act to suppress covid-19 spread would bee a couple of months or more if we did most things right, but that is probably way too optimistic.
