KarinCA.....I greatly respect your posts and opinions. However you are not correct about this opinion of daily short sales and what they are being used to accomplish. You do not seem to understand how the otc markets and the Market Makers operate. I have posted about this several times in the past and i am not going into it in depth once again.

Suffice it to say i have over 40 years of experience on a daily basis with the various stock markets and i deeply understand how market makers HAVE to operate when they receive a sell odder from a client that is much larger amount than that of the average size trade and many instances a larger amount than that of the average daily volume. The ONLY way the MM can facilitate that type of order is to do repeated DAILY SHORT sales and when that happens the reporting agencies will report DAILY SHORT SALES of 70 to 80% of the total volume as Short sales. Of course these are NOT REAL short sales and they are offset at the end of the day by a transaction covering the DAILY SHORT SALE.

When those type sellers are not in the market the daily short sales will fall to 49% or below of the daily volume. And that tells me when THE MFO is not selling.
