I think his departure was part of an arrangement between Menlo and Hirsch, and Hirsch needed to remove any appearance of Conflicts of Interest. Maybe Menlo wants the three skin patents that are being "buttoned up" by Browdy. Maybe they are willing to license the tech. Hirsch is the one that wanted the differentiated approach. Maybe Menlo wants to market the skin cream in California or other legal states through licensing agreements. Maybe the new guys have plans for the tablet tech in Israel. No idea who wants the MM tech but that one is being prepped by Browdy, too.

Hirsch wouldn't walk away from the "enormous wealth" he claimed would be realized by their IP, especially the Patent being issued on March 31.

Normally that’s the case. It was a termination, to have a replacement ready to step in immediately screams of pre-planned departure. If it was known or not to both parties we likely would never find out.
