In the US right now it looks like a spike, and there are obvious reasons why.

Everything that shows here is already at lest 7 days old from when the infection happened.

Meanwhile it will take a month or so for our behavior changes to curb the "spike".

We may not get away with "closing only one province" and so our time window of mitigation might be a lot longer. i.e., too many states with different rates and time frames resulting.

Today Idaho doesn't need anything, but NY does... in a few months NY might not and then Idaho will.. Like a fumbled football traveling around the country... or whack-a-mole...

This is not about fear, it is what to reasonably expect.
