I think you are right regarding what happened (still happening) in Italy. Has to pick and choose who lives and who dies. Has to be traumatic to the Health care Workers who took an oath to do no harm. Oath or not it is an unenviable position to be put in.

...taking a respirator off one patient and giving to another based upon age only does not appear to be ethical or proper triage.
