I think Brilacidin IV will be studied primarily because the ABSSI FDA phase2 study has been successfully completed. Brilacidin IV will be the only single agent with antibiotic and immunomodulating properties. Any antiviral properties would be a bonus...a trifecta.

I can see IV Brilacidin studied as an initial treatment when Coronovirus is first diagnosed, when patients first develop pulmonary symptoms and as an end stage treatment for pulmonary failure. Without study it is impossible to predict where in the disease process treatment will be optimal.

I expect it will also be studied with an antiviral agent.

A Brilacidin aerosol makes a lot of sense but it has not been formulated much less studied. It is my hope some where in the process it is developed and studied. If it would be proven effective it would be a potential treatment for a variety of pulmonary diseases such as asthma ,Copd, cystic fibrosis, chronic bronchitis, perhaps even scarring disorders pulmonary fibrosis pneumoconiosis and may be ENT disorders sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, and others.

We will have to wait and see how it develops.
