It wasn't the deal with Total which didn't lift the share price up, it was Kosmos's opposition to the Total deal which made the outcome of whether the deal would go forward UNCERTAIN at the time.
The markets hate uncertainty.
But if we can just get confirmation that Kosmos walked due to plunging oil prices ... then the Total deal becomes a certainty and an inevitability.
