He's articulate, but bizarrely long winded. Read his old posts here and on other boards and you can learn his story. I pegged his age somewhere around 78, but you might be right.

He's squarely in the investing camp I hate: A genius when things go his way and a victim when he loses. You'd almost think Mister Market used a gun to force him to load up on highly leveraged MLPs... on margin. At least he never blames shorters or "wicked market makers."

I've never used margin in my life.
