Please read through the thread for the explanation, but once again note that B has lots of anti microbial activity, in addition to immune modulation. Therefore giving a drug that will impact the entire colon microbiome is a very different proposition from a drug that reaches 40 cm of the distal colon.
It may turn out that the net result of B on the colon is more harm than good. or it may be just fine and work well.
But UP data cannot be used with confidence to say that B UC is a winner.
