#24392 RE: Cottage on the Lake #24391

I did look at Deuce's website, and after looking again just now I am convinced more than ever that this isnt a viable company/plan.

The pitch is almost naive and juvenile:

"For many retailers, same-day delivery is a challenge.

Getting a product from the store to the customer’s doorstep — particularly the final step, referred to as the “last mile” — is expensive and time-consuming.

Deuce Drone solves this problem for brick-and-mortar retailers by enabling drone shipment from existing stores. Its drones transform retail stores into customer fulfillment centers. Instead of relying on ground transportation, retailers can use drones to deliver items quickly and efficiently.

This company’s competitive advantage is its team’s extensive domain experience in the logistics and aerospace industries."

Deuce appears to be trying to solve a problem that is better addressed by FedEx, UPS, Google, Amazon and others.

No way Deuce will be competitive.

There is no uniqueness, no moat, no patent, etc.

They are attempting to solve a problem that doesnt exist.
They have already been leapfrogged before they started.

When you dont have a drone, you need to have a nice website:

"If you look at the fund raising page for Deuce Drone, Burton answers quite a few questions from potential investors and it is pretty informative. You could pose your questions to the Deuce Drone team directly, unless you are scared of the real story..."
