Since Mexus took a calculated gamble and opted to save money in the short-term by skipping the feasibility study stage it does not have a study that meets an acceptable standard to establish reserves.

There is a second reason they skipped the feasibility study. The drill results were truly abysmal. A properly done feasibility study would have shown Santa Elena to be non-viable. So, the last thing they wanted to do was a feasibility study.
