I’m not certain that is the reason against it, but we tend to titrate our dosing (little increments) to avoid those symptoms. However, the more potent derivatives like carfentanyl would drain our narcan inventory and still wouldn’t bring them out of it. This would be the best application for the high dose. I can only imagine that illicit narcotics will only be more potent over time and we will need higher dosing.
