I am moving more money into retail REITS sort of, or at least thinking about it.

But look at what happen ed to REITS in 2006-2009. Not exactly cash like.

You want something that is inverse the rest of your portfolio if other than cash. Problem is, non correlation. Disappears in a market crash.
