I'm sure Ripple knew about this before they invested $millions in Moneygram. The P2P mobile phone via Visa is probably a drop in the bucket of the international fund transfers requiring foreign exchange (esp. for people without Visa).
Thats FUD...when it comes to articles about XRP one must always read in between the lines. I look at it like how the media spins any event for the President into bad publicity. What their not revealing is that Visa uses Earthport, a Ripple partner, who utilizes XRP through ODL. Therefore Moneygram will be using XRP for settlement with Visa through Earthport. Similar to how people use email without knowing how it all works is how both consumer and enterprise will be using XRP without even knowing it.
