Apparently, some green traders don't understand that MM's close out at the end of day, AND any orders that are 'good for the day' close out at end of day. No such thing as 'painting'...It doesn't even pass the smell test. End of day is settling time, period. It simply means cleaning up what has not been done yet during the trading day. There is absolutely NOTHING of value that can be discerned by end of day trades. All we see is the trades - we do not know what drives them.
