Yep. Unfortunately, there are a lot of folks in this business that believe that the only way to make money is to short a name with their huge capital base (David EINHORNE, etc) and play all tricks, bribe analysts, take out stops, and all that. We had a couple of them on PCG (from $3 and $5.78 in Jan and Oct 2018) and we killed on both occasions, and several other names. They are more pronounced in tiny names where they essentially seat on the stock because they either make markets there or collude with the MMs etc (it's illegal and punishable with jail term). And you have pure players...tons of them that play the trades and still make tons of cash. Ron Baron being my idol in that area. But, the dirty games don't pay. Ask Greenlight Capital. Lol
