I live in NY. Not far from Where you are visiting. It’s not a Great area/community. Careful traveling at nighttime especially. There is a old school German bakery called Oxford bakery. Go there. It’s on liberty ave queens NY. A great family style restaurant called Don Pepe is a Must. But need to be with a group. No reservations accepted. There are no breweries in this area. I suggest leaving that area to hangout and go to Howard beach and Middle Village. Both nice towns. Bayside is a nice area with a ton of local bars on Bell Blvd. Enjoy
