Here's the allocation -
Stocks - 30%
Bonds - 55% (40% in long term treasuries, 15% intermed term)
Gold - 7.5%
Commodities - 7.5%
The idea is to fully balance the risk, and the bond % has to be so high because stocks are 3 times riskier than bonds.
I was especially shocked because my dad's portfolio has almost this exact allocation (if you replace the 'commodities' portion with 'cash'). His gold is only 5.5%, but will soon be boosted up to 7.5% :o)
Something very close to this 'All Weather Fund' is how billionaire Dalio apparently has his entire family fortune invested, at the above percentages.
