I believe you are correct. However, the surface had a 15W AMD part against a 15W INTC part, yet the AMD part had worse battery life for some reason. Hopefully AMD figured out why and fixed it. I suspect it is other components in the platform. It may be the way the CPU does power management. We will know more when we see reviews of the 4000 series based notebooks. My baseline expectations are better performance, but worse battery life.
