not anytime soon. Japanese are stuck in their ways. Japanese approval might give a small suckers rally but that's about it. It wont translate into revenues for many years.

I know nothing about Japan's medical insurance system

I think you'd be surprised how much people will pay to look better. Cosmetic/Plastic surgeons rank among the best paid doctors and a lot of their procedures ie. botox,breast implants, fat reduction etc are not paid for by insurance as a rule. I've done very well on stocks that appeal to the vanity crowd (COOL bought out at 2.6B and INMD are 2). In addition such procedures are paid cash on the barrel-head not through insurers at a significant discount.
