The Company expects to begin shipping the specialized silk cocoons by next week.

This was released 12/17 so it's a little soon to be talking about a problem if they've only been shipping cocoons to the reeler for 3 or 4 weeks.

Like you said they should have learned their lesson so if they do have problems with a reeler it's going to look unbelievably bad. If we have to hear again about small cocoons it's doubtful they can ever get this done.
