well Goodenough (University of Texas) discovered the phosphate technology.. Valance made a mistake and stole it and Quebec Hydro (who bought the rights from Goodenough) sued them and won. That put Valance into bankruptcy.. A123 systems made many mistakes fires, mismanagement and poor timing)and that led them to bankruptcy, sold the remaining assets to China and "we" played the game fairy and have the most expensive and durable technology and we went bankrupt too! But my guess Enersys was playing the stay away approach from getting involved in the uncertainties but kept the aerospace close to them. The rest of the techs from China stole everything they could starting with Neil Bush. Interesting enough the large format space is still a very mysterious situation where in fact some patents could be extremely valuable , a space we created like the Planet Solar boat and Enersys. Something to think about..Tesla has not entered this space... always in my opinion
